Hello!

The 2016-2017 school year marks my 23nd year of teaching in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Previously, I taught for fifteen years at St. Clement of Rome School where I spent the last nine years in a blended position as Instructional Technology Specialist and 6th grade Social Studies Teacher and department coordinator. Before that I spent six years as a 4th grade teacher. In addition, I taught 3rd grade at St. Francis of Assisi School for four years. I am thrilled to be a member of the St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Community. My goal is to positively impact the way teachers teach and students learn by promoting best practices in technology integration ensuring that our students develop 21st century skills. I am a recent graduate of Saint Louis University, where I earned my Ph.D. in Educational Studies/Curriculum & Instruction. I am a Google Certified Trainer and Apple Teacher. To find out more about my professional experience, check out my resume .

My husband, Steve, is the Director of Information Technology at IFPC. We have a daughter, Katie, a graduate of Nerinx Hall and MIZZOU who is married and has a 2-year old son and is currently working as an account executive at STL Today.com. We also have a son, Tom, a graduate of SLUH and Knox College who is married and currently working as an independent journalist and owner of Seattle Bike Blog. Gracie, our golden retriever, and our grand-dogs, Bella and Jules round out our family.

My hobbies include walking (I've completed my second Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon in St. Louis.), reading, and learning more about technology. My professional and research interests include: Educational Technology, Design Thinking, Makerspaces, and informal professional learning opportunities. I am a moderator of #MOedchat at Twitter chat held on Thursday nights at 9PM and an Edcamp organizer (EdcampSTL & EdcampArchSTL) and founder of EdcampMagic.
